’25 Summer Reading Program

The purpose of our Summer Reading Program is to encourage our young patrons to check out and read/listen to books during the summer! We also provide free, fun, and educational activities.

Tuesday, May 27-Friday, July 25.

Sign-up and begin reading/listening starting Tuesday, May 27. Youth Programming begins the week of June 9, sign-up will be required for most activities. Sign-up sheets will be at the Circulation Desk.

The Youth Summer Reading Program is for ages 0-17. Once you are 18 you can sign up for the Adult Summer Reading Program.  Programs and prizes will be broken into different age group categories. Kids are upcoming 5th graders and under, and teens are upcoming 6th graders through 12th grade.

Each youth patron will receive a reading log to record the minutes they read/listen. You may begin reading/listening and completing challenges as soon as you sign up for the program. Raffle tickets will be earned by completing challenges and for the minutes you read/listen, or, for the little ones, the time that you read to them. Raffle tickets will be awarded in sets of 5 when a full pallet has been completed.

There will be a limit of 100 reading tickets with independent readers having the opportunity to earn 2 Golden Tickets by reading an additional 1000 minutes.

In order to receive your raffle ticket(s) bring your packet to the library for a staff member to check-off and initial. Place your ticket(s) in a prize box of your choosing.

There will be 2 prize drawings; June 27 and July 25. You do NOT need to be present to win. We will be collecting readership data this Summer to better plan for future Summer Reading Programs so please plan to save and turn in your log at the end of the program.

    • 20 minutes of Reading/Listening = 1 Paint
    • Splat 100 minutes/1 full Paint Pallet = 5 tickets
